Followmont Transport recently partnered Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) and the Queensland Trucking Association (QTA) in a safety initiative focusing on the risks of incorrectly coupled vehicles.
Every year within transport, there are a number of serious incidents involving trailers which are dropped from vehicles due to a failure to ensure the ‘Hooking Up’ process has been correctly completed.
In an effort to provide training to the transport industry as a whole, the QTA and WHS have joined forces to create a safety video titled “Safely Coupling and Uncoupling of Vehicles”.
Followmont Transport was proudly approached by QTA to partner with them for this fantastic initiative. Due to our many years of service and reputable image within the transport industry, we were seen as a positive role model for industry standard. We were more than pleased to provide our state of the art equipment and facilities for the filming of this presentation.
Our ‘2016 Driver of the Year’ Business Award recipient, Paul Breznikar, was selected to represent Followmont Transport for the filming of this project and worked wonderfully under the direction of the Pixel Frames film crew. Thank you to everyone involved in this project and for allowing Followmont the opportunity to get involved.
