The increased cost of fuel led to the introduction of a fuel levy in 2004. This levy has continued to rise and Followmont from December 1st 2007 has decided to incorporate a portion of this increase in the customer rates for most customers.

Customers on Schedule rates and some quoted rate customers will have their rates increased by 7% from December 1st 2007, and there will be a 7% decrease in their fuel levy for December. Fuel levy will decrease for these customers to 4.98% for the month of December.

Customers on fixed rate agreement will not have a rate increase and their fuel levy will remain at 11.98% for the month of December. Fuel levies for these customers will remain at 7% above the general fuel levy until further notice.
